Growing up having spent most weekends viewing "open houses" with his family, Rick has been looking at Oahu's real estate market since the late 70's (as a child). Those years of constant shopping for investment properties has proven to have been an invaluable experience in his decision to provide real estate consultations and Realtor services to his clients.
After completing college, Rick worked in the import auto performance industry as a technician, tuner and fabricator. For a couple of years, he moved to Maui to help start up and manage an import auto performance tuning shop.
Rick returned to Honolulu in 2000 and worked in the hotel industry in the guest services department at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach hotel in Waikiki. During his five years at Outrigger, Rick also ran a small business called WestZero which imported specialty products and auto parts from Japan.
Rick has a Hawaii Real Estate Broker's License and is a member of the Honolulu Board of Realtors, Hawaii Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, REBAC and The Hawaii International Real Estate Council. He also has the Realtor Designations of Graduate Realtor's Institute
(GRI), Short Sale Foreclosure Resource
(SFR), Seniors Real Estate Specialist
(SRES) and At Home with Diversity
(AHWD) that require additional experience and training.
In keeping abreast of community affairs, Rick tracks neighborhood community activities affecting Oahu residents, including Waikiki, Kaimuki and East Oahu neighborhoods.
Aside from work, Rick enjoys foreign travel, new computer and device technologies, home renovation, mechanical engineering and fabrication, car racing and design, gourmet foods, restaurants and cooking. He also frequents cafes and hopes to one day open one of his own.
